Auburn City Councilmember Yolanda Cortinas Trout was a keynote speaker at a recent fundraiser in Bellevue for Consejo Counseling and Referral, a Domestic Violence Institute member organization.
Nearly 200 people attended “Esperanza-Hope for Change!”, an annual event in which Consejo’s domestic violence program celebrated the hundreds of people its advocates have helped in their transformation from victims to survivors.
Trout gave a moving speech about domestic violence, the work of Auburn and DVI.
