King County prosecutors charged an Auburn man, a Seattle man and a teenager in a series of robberies in one day involving firearms in Seattle.
The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Amarri Lourenzo Lard, 20, of Auburn and Tyzavius Holmes, 19, of Seattle on Nov. 20 with four counts of robbery in the first degree for a series of robberies on Nov. 15 in Seattle.
Additionally, the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office’s Juvenile Division charged a 14-year-old boy in the Nov. 15 robberies with four counts of robbery in the first degree, and an additional count of making a false or misleading statement to a public servant.
According to multiple court documents regarding the Nov. 15 robberies, law enforcement linked the two men and boy with an armed robbery at a Shell gas station in the 7200 block of East Marginal Way South; a second armed robbery at an AM/PM in the 2800 block of Rainier Avenue South; a third armed robbery at the Space Age gas station at 7580 35th Avenue Southwest; and a fourth robbery at another Shell station in the 4500 block of Fauntleroy Way Southwest.
Law enforcement first received a report of a robbery at gunpoint at the first Shell station at approximately 5:25 a.m. Nov. 15.
According to court documents, the two men and boy executed the four robberies within the span of two hours, with dispatchers receiving a report of the second robbery 12 minutes after the first at 5:37 p.m., a report of the third robbery at 6:40 a.m., and a report of the fourth robbery 10 minutes after the third at 6:50 a.m.
After Seattle police identified a suspect vehicle involved in the incident, Tukwila police officers located the vehicle in the evening of Nov. 15 and initiated a pursuit.
With involvement from the King County Sheriff’s Office’s Guardian One helicopter, law enforcement arrested Lard, Holmes, and the 14-year-old near Spring Street and Harvard Avenue.
According to court documents, the 14-year-old provided an incorrect identity and date of birth to law enforcement at the time of his arrest.
According to documents, at the time of the robberies, the two men and boy displayed a rifle and handgun, aiming the firearms at the store clerks and stealing money from the registers and tobacco products.
According to Douglas Wagoner, a spokesperson for the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Lard and Holmes remain in custody on $400,000 bail, as requested by prosecutors at their first appearances in King County Superior Court.
Both men have arraignments scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Dec. 4 in the King County Courthouse.
According to Wagoner, the 14-year-old boy remains in custody, with his arraignment held Nov. 21 at the Judge Patricia H. Clark Children and Family Justice Center.
