Ventrella to speak at GriefWorks’ benefit

Popular television personality Tony Ventrella will be the keynote speaker at GriefWorks’ annual fundraising breakfast from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 410 H. St. NE

Ventrella, known for his humor, charisma, and inspirational thoughts, has written a book, “Smile in the Mirror,” that reflects his enthusiasm for life and the ability of individuals’ to strengthen the quality of their journey. He has presented his “Seven Keys to Happiness” to hundreds of organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest.

GriefWorks executive director Daryl Thompson expects that having Ventrella as the keynote speaker will be a draw to potential breakfast attendees.

“This community is very committed to supporting non-profits, and GriefWorks’ continuation in providing grief counseling and education is dependent on that community support,” said Thompson. “In the past, we have had good turnout with generous attendees at our breakfast events. We feel confident that Tony’s presence will attract an even larger audience this year. People will enjoy his positive outlook during these challenging times. Tony will make you think and laugh at the same time.”

GriefWorks has served more than 10,000 children, teens and adults since 1998.

Its mission is to serve as a bereavement resource providing education and support for people grieving a death or seeking to understand the grief process. Its motto is “Together we’re mending hearts and re-landscaping lives.”
