King County Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer will host a community town hall on Wednesday, March 18, beginning at 6 p.m., at Auburn Mountainview High School, 28900 124th Ave SE Auburn.

Property taxes and assessments will be the topic of discussion.

Joining von Reichbauer will be the Deputy Assessor of King County and the King County Tax Advisor.

“Our citizens are struggling to afford feeding their families with many living pay-check to pay-check,” von Reichbauer said. “Property taxes are yet one more burden for our families, friends, and neighbors to bear. This is why it is important to know how your house was assessed, and how to properly appeal it if you want to.”

This is the second in a series of town halls which are designed to bring County government to South King County. All citizens are encouraged to attend and bring questions or comments about property taxes and assessments.
