Jan. 26

Minor fire: 9:42 p.m., (Lakeland). Firefighters responding to a minor oven fire arrived at their destination to discover that the homeowner had already turned an extinguisher on the fire, snuffing it out. Turns out somebody had accidentally left a pizza box inside the kitchen oven.

Jan. 27

Aid call: 12:15 p.m., (Auburn). After firefighters evaluated a teenage skateboarder who was complaining of shoulder pain from a spill he’d taken, they transported him in stable condition to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC) for more evaluation.

Jan. 28

Aid call: 3:39 p.m., (Pacific). After firefighters treated a woman with obvious injury-related deformities to one of her lower legs and ankles, they stabilized her leg with a splint and a private ambulance transported her to MAMC.

Jan. 29

Aid call: 9 a.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters treated a woman who had suffered shoulder and knee injuries when a vehicle backed into her, and a private ambulance transported her to a local hospital.

Jan. 30

Automatic fire alarm: 7 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to the 1300 block of Auburn Way South for a sprinkler and fire alarm found a dry ice machine that had activated a sprinkler head, flooding a hallway. Firefighters helped with clean up and water removal and turned the building over to maintenance.

Jan. 31

Aid call: 2:32 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters evaluated a man in a local apartment complex who was complaining of flu-like symptoms, and a private ambulance transported him to a local hospital.

Feb. 1

Aid call: 8:44 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters wrapped up their treatment of a woman in distress, and a private ambulance transported her to a local hospital.
