The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 189 requests for service between Dec. 30 and Jan. 5, among them the following:
Dec. 30
Aid call: 2:12 p.m., (Pacific). After firefighters and King County Medics evaluated a woman in the throes of a seizure, medics transported her to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.
Dec. 31
Accident: 7:55 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters arrived at a three-vehicle collision on Highway 18 to find several people with minor injuries. As firefighters treated the rest of the vehicle’s occupants at the scene, a private ambulance transported one man to a hospital.
Jan. 1
Aid call: 2:14 p.m., (north Auburn). After firefighters treated a man who’d been complaining of back pain, a private ambulance transported him to MAMC.
Jan. 2
Accident: 11:01 a.m., (Lea Hill). After helping a pregnant woman whose car had been rear ended by a transit bus, firefighters transported her to MAMC for further evaluation.
Jan. 3
Aid call: 9:22 p.m., (Algona). After firefighters helped a senior citizen who had fallen and injured herself, a private ambulance transported her to MAMC.
Jan. 4
Illegal burn: 3:28 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters summoned by a smoke investigation call informed and educated the home owner about outdoor burning and then snuffed the fire.
Jan. 5
Aid call: 10:41 a.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters helped a female who had been in a single-car roll-over accident, and then a private ambulance transported her to MAMC for more evaluation.
