Explosion: 11:39 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters responded to a report of an unknown explosion and fire but as Auburn police were already on location the firefighters returned to their station.

July 3

Aid call: 12:07 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters examined a sick female and King County Medics asked for further evaluation. A private ambulance transported the female to Auburn Regional Medical Center.

July 4

Smoke investigation: 2:46 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters expected a Dumpster fire but got a small, easily-extinguishable beauty bark fire.

July 5

Aid call: 7:03 p.m., (Lea Hill). A man fell off a ladder, and, despite landing on his feet, sustained an injury to his right foot. Firefighters treated the man and a private ambulance transported him to ARMC.

July 6

Residential duplex fire: 2:28 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to a fire at the 3400 block of M Place SE snuffed out the blaze, thereby protecting the adjacent unit. Firefighters transported two injured people to ARMC for further treatment. The South King Investigation Task Force is investigating what happened.

Aid call: 1:37 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters helped a woman who’d been complaining of chest pain and a private ambulance got her to ARMC.

July 8

Residential fire: 1:33 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to a report of smoke from a residence in the 4200 block of Auburn Way South found an exterior wall fire that had burned and filled the attic with smoke. Firefighters put out the fire quickly and nobody was hurt.
