May 30

Aid call: 3:30 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters responded to a man suffering seizures and treated him before King County Medics transported him to Auburn Regional Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.

May 31

Aid call: 8:20 a.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters helped a middle-aged woman who had fallen from a standing position, evaluated her and found her to be medically stable. At her request, firefighters left her at home.

June 1

Odor investigation: 1:28 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responded to the 200 block of 3rd Ave. Southwest and a whiff of chemicals in the air. Firefighters arrived to find a smell of battery acid in the reporting party’s motor home, so they turned the scene over to the owner.

June 2

Arm laceration: 3:50 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). Valley Com dispatched firefighters to a report of a child who had fallen from a scooter, opening up a 4-inch long cut on her arm. Firefighters applied a sterile dressing to the wound and obtained vital signs. The girl’s family transported her to a local hospital.

June 3

Garage fire: 8:29 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a garage fire in the 200 block of 21st Street Southeast in Auburn. Firefighters contained the fire to one room of the house and extinguished it with one hose line. Everybody escaped the fire. The South King County Fire Investigation Task Force ruled the fire accidental.

June 4

Accident: 5:51 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters, King County Medics and the Kent Fire Authority responded to a single-car accident at Auburn Way North and South 277 Street Northeast. Firefighters found heavy mechanisms with one patient trapped. The patient was extricated, stabilized and taken to Harborview for further treatment.

June 5

Aid call: 1:57 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters helped a man who had fallen out of a hammock, injuring his back. Firefighters evaluated the man, and a private ambulance transported him to ARMC in stable condition.
