March 5

Aid call: 10:23 a.m., (Lakeland Hills). Valley Com dispatched firefighters to a report of someone suffering with chest pains. Firefighters examined the person and King County Medics provided advanced life support, then medics transported the person to Auburn Regional Medical Center (ARMC) for more evaluation and treatment.

March 6

Car accident: 12:35 p.m., (Pacific). A two-car accident pitched one vehicle into a ditch in the 5600 block of West Valley Highway South. Firefighters evaluated one person at the scene for minor injuries and released him or her. Nobody else was hurt.

March 7

Aid call: 9:25 a.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters helped a student at Green River Community College in the throes of a seizure. After firefighters administered on-scene treatment, a family member took the young man to his private physician.

Grass fire: 3:59 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters hustling to the report of a small grass fire discovered a large grass fire that had burned an area approximately 50 by 200 feet. Firefighters got the fire under control quickly, limiting damage to the surrounding area.

Aid call: 9:28 a.m., (Algona). Firefighters treated a man who couldn’t catch his breath and a private ambulance transported him to AMC.

Aid call: 4:47 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a woman suffering with a fever and treated her. Her husband transported her to a hospital for further evaluation.

Car accident: 4:30 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a single-car spinout accident on Highway 18, carefully extricated a woman from her vehicle, then a private ambulance and King County Medics transported her to ARMC.
