The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 230 calls for service between April 24 and 30, among them the following:
April 24
Aid call: 4:38 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responded to a middle-aged woman who was complaining of abdominal pain after surgery, and a private ambulance zipped her off to Valley Medical Center (VMC) for additional treatment.
April 25
Car Fire: 11 a.m., (Algona). Having responded to a car that had been stolen and set ablaze with Algona Police and a VRFA fire investigator, firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and began investigating.
April 26
Aid call: 9:11 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics responded to a middle-aged woman who was complaining of shortness of breath, medics evaluated the woman, and a private ambulance transported her to VMC.
April 27
Aid call: 10:47 a.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters treated a teenage boy who had suffered a seizure, and a private ambulance transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).
April 28
Aid call: 11:30 a.m., (Auburn). Having assessed a woman who was suffering a seizure on a sidewalk, firefighters decided that she should be seen at a local emergency room, so a VRFA aid unit transported her in stable condition to MAMC.
April 29
Aid call: 3:04 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters evaluated a woman who had come to their station with chest pain and requested King County Medics. Medics treated the woman at the scene and transported her to MAMC.
April 30
Aid call: 3:26 p.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters helped a woman with a history of psychosis, and a private ambulance transported her to MAMC for further evaluation.
