Nov. 10

Aid call: 4:11 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters assessed a man who had fallen from a roof, placed him on a backboard with a cervical collar and transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC) for further treatment.

Nov. 11

Wind storm: (South Auburn). Firefighters were busy all day responding to downed trees, trees into houses, cars, wires and roadways and worked to keep key arterials open. Neither civilians nor firefighters were hurt by falling trees.

Nov. 13

Commercial fire: 2:31 p.m., (Pacific) Firefighters responding to a possible fire at a fast-food business found light smoke inside the business and smoke curling out of the roof. The culprit turned out to be an overheated electrical or mechanical unit, not a fire. Firefighters ultimately turned the scene over to maintenance for further repair.

Nov. 14

CPR: 2:49 p.m., (Lea Hill). Just before firefighters arrived to help a man who was struggling to breathe, he lost consciousness, so they performed CPR, and King County Medics gave him advanced life support and got him to MAMC in stable condition.

Residential fire alarm: 3:53 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). When firefighters responding to a residential fire alarm met the homeowner, he told them he had been performing maintenance on his alarm system when the fire alarm began to sound.

Nov. 16

Service call: 8:15 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to the 800 block of West Main Street found water bubbling up from cracks along the street. Firefighters called up Auburn’s water and storm drain department to come and fix things.
