The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 204 calls for service between Sept. 24 and Sept. 30, among them the following:

Sept. 24

Aid call: (Lea Hill) 10:30 a.m. Firefighters responded to a woman who had fallen. The patient was evaluated and transported to Auburn Regional Medical Center (ARMC) by private ambulance.

Sept. 25

Aid call: (Pacific) 12:26 p.m. Firefighters responded to an ill female. The patient was evaluated by crews and left at home with her friend.

Sept. 26

Aid call: (Auburn) 1:43 p.m. Firefighters assisted a male child with a closed fracture to the wrist. The patient was treated by responding personnel and transported to a local hospital by family members.

Sept. 27

Brush fire: (Lakeland Hills) 1:07 p.m. Firefighters responded to a small brush fire.  Crews utilized water to extinguish the fire. There were no injuries.

Sept. 28

Aid call: (Pacific) 8:46 p.m. Firefighters responded to a male child with respiratory distress. King County Medics and firefighters treated the patient on scene. King County Medics transported the patient to ARMC.

Sept. 29

Commercial fire alarm: (Auburn) 7:40 a.m. Firefighters were dispatched to a commercial fire alarm at a local high school. Employees and students were decorating the school and hanging curtains from the roof truss when the beam of a beam-application photoelectric smoke detector was interrupted. A custodian on site reset the alarm system prior to the arrival of firefighters and no other problems were found.

Sept. 30

Brush fire: (Auburn) 2:40 p.m. Firefighters responded to multiple calls of a brush fire along northbound Highway 167 at the collector distributor lanes to Highway 18.  Firefighters extinguished a fast-moving grass fire in the median area. No injuries were incurred and there was no property loss.
