Sept. 19

Aid call: 7:09 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters treated a woman who had fallen and hit her head, and a private ambulance motored her off to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

Sept. 20

Trailer fire: 12:15 p.m., (Lea Hill). Having responded to a brake fire on a commercial trailer along westbound Highway 18, firefighters discovered the truck’s driver had already killed the fire. Firefighters then cooled the brakes with water and arranged for the trailer’s towing to a maintenance shop for repairs.

Sept. 21

Aid call: 11 a.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics stabilized a woman who was struggling to breathe, and medics transported her to MAMC.

Sept. 22

Minor fire: 9:16 p.m., (Auburn). Having arrived at a home on Riverview Drive upon the report of a minor fire that was already out, firefighters found exterior cable wires that had become electrified, melting the external insulation. No heat or fire was detected. Firefighters advised the homeowner to contact Comcast to have it come out and evaluate the situation.

Aid call: 2:45 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters helped an older woman who was complaining of shortness of breath, and King County Medics transported her to MAMC for further evaluation.

Sept. 24

Aid call: 3 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responded to a woman who was suffering non-cardiac chest pain, and a private ambulance transported her to MAMC.

Sept. 25

Aid call: 3:05 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters evaluated a woman who had fainted, and a private ambulance transported her to a local hospital.
