The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 191 calls for service between July 19 and July 25, among them the following:
July 19
Aid call: 7:24 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to a report of a person lying alongside Auburn Way South found someone complaining of disabling knee pain. Firefighters examined the person and a private ambulance transported him or her to Auburn Regional Medical Center.
July 20
Aid call: 11:36 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters used pneumatic lift bags and cribbing to gently lift a full-size sedan off a woman whose legs had been pinned underneath. After firefighters freed, treated and immobilized the woman on a backboard, a private ambulance transported her to ARMC.
July 21
Aid call: 6:55 a.m., (Pacific). Firefighters helped a man suffering from abdominal pain, headache, and seizures and a private ambulance drove him to ARMC.
July 22
Aid call: 12:07 p.m., (Auburn). Valley Com dispatched firefighters to a man complaining of chest pain where they joined King County medics in evaluating the man. Medics and firefighters then transported the man down the hallway from the doctor’s office to ARMC.
July 23
Residential fire: 11:05 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to reports of smoke from a residence in the 3200 block of Scenic Drive SE found a structure fire, which they quickly killed. Investigators determined that the fire was accidental.
July 24
Aid call: 4:41 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to the 2400 block of Auburn Way South helped a drunken man who had fallen and scraped his face, then transported the man to ARMC in stable condition.
July 25
House fire: 1:01 p.m., (Black Diamond). Valley Com dispatched firefighters to help Mountain View Fire and Rescue with a house fire at 33825 133 Ave. SE. Turns out that repairs to the plumbing had been under way when a dryer vent caught fire in the crawl space beneath the house. Firefighters cut a hole in the floor of the home.
