The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 165 requests for service between May 31 and June 6, among them the following:
May 31
Aid call (Auburn): 7:26 a.m. Firefighters helped a man suffering extreme abdominal pain, treating him at the scene then transporting him to Auburn Regional Medical Center.
June 1
Aid call: 7:45 a.m. (Pacific). Firefighters and King County Medics responding to a car vs. pedestrian accident found a man complaining of arm pain. A private ambulance carted him off to ARMC.
June 2
Aid call: 2 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters responded to a woman short of breath, treated her at the scene and a private ambulance transported her to ARMC.
June 3
Aid call: 1:45 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters helped a woman who had fainted at Green River Community College. After firefighters evaluated her, the woman decided to have a friend drive her home.
June 4
Patient assist: 3:12 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters helped an elderly disabled woman who had fallen to the floor and needed help to get back into her wheelchair. Firefighters then helped the woman to her vehicle so she could make her doctor’s appointment.
June 5
Aid call: 7:15 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters responded for an injured woman who had fallen backward out of her wheel chair and struck her head on the concrete garage floor. A private ambulance transported the woman to ARMC.
June 6
Aid call: 9 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters helped a young child who had ingested an adult dose of medication and a private ambulance carried the child to ARMC.
