June 7

Smoke investigation: 9:15 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to a smoke investigation found a man illegally burning wood in his back yard. After firefighters explained the burning regulations, the man agreed to kill the fire.

June 8

Kitchen fire: 6:26 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters responding to the 12700 block of Southeast 312th Street for a sprinkler water flow alarm found that a fire protection system had snuffed out the kitchen fire. Firefighters quickly began salvage efforts to minimize water damage.

June 9

Tree fire: 12:58 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters extinguished tree fires that began with lightning strikes in the 1700 block of C Street Southeast. No structures were damaged, and no one was hurt.

June 10

Aid call: 3:07 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters examined a girl complaining of seizures; then, a private ambulance transported her to Mary Bridge Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

June 11

Motor vehicle accident: 10:33 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics responding to a two-car motor vehicle accident at the 1700 block of West Valley Highway found that both vehicles with heavy front-end damage and two people, one of whom was in critical condition. Firefighters extricated one person. Medic One evaluated and treated the person and transported him to Auburn Regional Medical Center (ARMC) for further evaluation. Firefighters treated the second patient and a private ambulance brought him or her to ARMC.

June 12

Aid call: 10:59 a.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters and King County paramedics responded to reports of a man who had been run over by a tractor in his yard. King County Medics ransported the man to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

June 13

Residential fire: 7:54 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to reports of smoke in the 2300 block of R Street Southeast saw as they drew near a large quantity of smoke belching from a doublewide mobile home fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters quickly snuffed the fire and searched the home to confirm that no one was inside. Nobody was hurt. Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
