June 14

Aid call: 1:06 p.m., (Pacific). Valley Com dispatched firefighters to help a person who had possibly fainted, and they ended up treating an elderly woman for what appeared to be breathing related issues. They left the woman at home.

June 15

Aid call: 11:30 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a woman who had fallen, evaluated her, checked her vitals then a private ambulance whisked her off to Auburn Regional Medical Center.

June 16

Vehicle fire: 11:43 a.m., (Auburn). Valley Com dispatched firefighters to a reported car fire in the parking lot of Walgreens at Lakeland Hills. Crews quickly killed the fire and removed smoke from the interior of the store. The building was not damaged.

June 17

Aid call: 8:09 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to a medication overdose found a woman who had taken several different prescription medications. Firefighters treated the woman, and a private ambulance transported her to ARMC.

June 18

House fire: 7:57 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters from the VRFA and Kent Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 30300 block of 121st Place Southeast. First arriving crews quickly killed the bulk of the fire from the outside of the two-story home before going inside to confirm that the place was empty. Fortunately, nobody was hurt.

June 19

Explosion investigation: 100:50 a.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responded to reports of an explosion near Manke Lumber on Stewart Road. Firefighters searched the area, could not find any evidence of property damage, and concluded the most likely culprit was fireworks.

June 20

Vehicle accident: 3:49 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters responded to a three-vehicle, 11-occupant, motor vehicle accident in the northbound lanes of State Route 167. Firefighters transported one person to ARMC.
