Between March 7 and March 13, the Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 193 calls for service, among them the following:
March 7
Aid call: 2:27 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters arrived on scene to help a man who complained that several bales of hay had fallen on him, knocking him to the floor. A private ambulance transported him to Auburn Regional Medical Center (ARMC).
March 8
Accident: 3:45 p.m., Auburn. Valley Com dispatched firefighters to the scene of a two-vehicle accident in South Auburn, where they found a woman complaining of neck and back pain. Firefighters treated the woman and transported her in stable condition to ARMC for further evaluation.
March 9
Aid call: 6:18 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responded to a woman complaining of sharp back pain, checked her over and left her at home with her family.
March 10
Aid call: 11:45 a.m., (Algona). Firefighters and King County Medics helped a patient complaining of a severe cut. A private ambulance transported the man, woman, girl or boy to ARMC.
March 11
Accident: 2:46 p.m. Valley Dispatched firefighters and King County Medics to a two-vehicle accident involving an Auburn police officer. Firefighters arrived to find all occupants out of their vehicles, treated the fallen officer at the scene for minor injuries, and transported him to ARMC for evaluation. Nobody in the other vehicle was hurt.
March 12
Aid call: 4:23 p.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters treated a man who had slipped and fallen from a short banister man in his home, sustaining a low back injury. Firefighters treated the man at the scene and then transported him in stable condition to ARMC.
March 13
CPR: 3:42 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics responded to an unconscious man. Firefighters performed successful CPR followed by a quick treatment and transport to ARMC for further evaluation.
