Sept 6

Aid call: 8:45 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters helped a woman complaining of body aches and itchy skin; then, a private ambulance transported her to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for further treatment and evaluation.

Sept 7

Vehicle accident: 9:24 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters hustling to a car accident arrived to find the passenger of one heavily-damaged car complaining of multiple minor injuries. Firefighters had to use a hydraulic rescue tool to get her out. After on-scene treatment, a private ambulance transported the woman to Auburn Regional Medical Center.

Sept 8

Aid call: (Auburn). Firefighters hurrying to help a woman found in the Walmart bathroom learned that she was a diabetic with low blood sugar. The woman had taken a glucose tab before the firefighters got there, so firefighters took vitals and left her with a friend who provided transportation.

Sept 9

Aid call: 9:17 a.m., (Algona). Firefighters and King County Medics helped a woman complaining of chest pain. After a thorough exam, firefighters determined that family members could take her to ARMC.

Sept 10

Smoke alarm: 9:22 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to a report of a sounding smoke detector arrived to find the homeowner snoozing on the couch as a pot of food burned on the stove. Firefighters used fans to clear the home of smoke.

Sept 11

Aid call: 8 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters helped a senior citizen who had slipped out of her wheel chair and fallen to the ground. The woman was not hurt, and firefighters left her at home with family members to care for her.

Sept 12

Motorcycle accident: 8:10 p.m., (Auburn) Firefighters responded with Auburn Police to a vehicle vs. motorcycle accident at the corner of C Street Southwest and West Main. The rider sustained minor injuries and refused aid. Firefighters left the rider with care instructions.
