Fire caused about $150,000 worth of damage to a two-story Pacific home on Monday.
Firefighters from the Valley Regional Fire Authority and Kent responded to the residence at 205 Elise Lane at 5:14 p.m. A Pacific police unit was first on location and reported black smoke coming from the first and second floors of a single-family home.
VRFA personnel arrived and found the house fully involved with fire on the first floor and approximately 50-percent involved on the second. The house was evacuated and the fire methodically extinguished.
There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. A dog was rescued from the structure.
The fire is under investigation.
