The White River Valley Museum and Mary Olson Farm host two camps for kids ages 7-12 this summer.

The half-day, week-long camps are an affordable and educational alternative to traditional summer camps:

• Jr. Curator Camp at the White River Valley Museum, 9 a.m.-noon, June 25-29

Be inquisitive, Be resourceful, Be creative, Be a Jr. Curator. One week of fun, hands-on museum activities for kids age 7- 12 that will explore what it takes to be a curator. Kids will investigate artifacts, research collections and create their own exhibit.

• Living History Camp at the Mary Olson Farm, 9 a.m.-noon, Aug. 6-10

Kids age 7-12 will explore the daily activities of farm life in the early 20th century at King County’s best preserved subsistence farm, the Olson Farm. Kids will care for farm animals, work in the garden, prepare farm fresh food and play historic games.Camp Fees for Jr. Curator and Living History Camp are $80 per child, register by calling the museum at 253-288-7439.
