Every spring, the Auburn Valley YMCA invites kids and families from the community to participate in Healthy Kids Day, a national event that helps promote youth health and wellness.

Last Saturday’s superhero-themed event offered more than 40 different activities for kids, and health and wellness resources for families.

Healthy Kids Day was free and open to the community.

The first 100 kids received a free T-shirt. A free 10-minute massage was offered for parents. Gene Juarez provided free haircuts for boys and styling for girls.

Special guests included Mayor Nancy Backus, Miss Auburn Jacque Guyette and Captain Core Values.
