Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra is getting ready for its second trimester. Young musicians with two or more years of playing experience are encouraged to join in the fun.
Second-trimester performances will include a Waltz Gala Ball on Feb. 13 at the Olson Mansion. This will be a black tie optional affair, which includes dinner, live music, professional ballroom dance performance and professional waltz lessons. It also will include a combined community choir and orchestra performance to perform Vaughn William’s Five Mystical Pieces on April 24 and 25.
Interested musicians may come to any Monday night rehearsal in January at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 23855 Southeast 216th St., Maple Valley.
