Billy M. Rees, age 84, passed away on January 11, 2017 at home, surrounded by love, after a short battle with cancer.

Born March 17, 1932 in Ft. Riley, Kansas, he traveled extensively with his military family, graduating high school in Japan and attending college in Germany. He returned stateside to Michigan for school and there met and married Janet, his wife of 60 years. His son Kent was born in Michigan. From there, the family moved to Washington State to join Bill’s dad in the insurance business. Daughter Julie was born not long after.

Bill worked in the aerospace industry. After retirement, he worked in the antiques and collectibles business and his favorite job of all, delivering flowers for Buds & Blooms Florist for many years.

He had a generous servant’s heart, serving his church of 50+ years and in recent years, volunteering for Meals on Wheels and the Auburn Respite Program at the Auburn Senior Center.

Bill is loved and missed so much by his loving wife Janet, son Kent Rees (Judi), daughter Julie Ehle (Les), 4 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter, and sister Jackie Bowen and family.

During his life, Bill enjoyed good books, golf, playing pool, a trip to the casino, and buying and selling antiques.

At his request, there will be no service.
