Carolyn Jean Peckenpaugh was born to Harry and Elin Carlson on February 11, 1929, in Seattle, WA and died on May 18, 2017. Carolyn was raised in Redmond, WA, along with one sister and two brothers and a loving extended family. She graduated from Lake Washington High and attended WSU, where she joined Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. Carolyn was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, and Chapter BH, P.E.O.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, John; son Doug (Patti) Peckenpaugh; daughters Joan (Jeff) Reynolds and Susan (Steve) Westby; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister-in-laws Jeremy Carlson and Dorothy Peckenpaugh; and numerous relatives who were special to her. She was preceded in death by her grandson Craig Peckenpaugh, brother Howard Carlson; sister Elizabeth Coward and husband Jim; brother Maurice Carlson and wife Betty; and brother-in-law Charles Peckenpaugh.

Her memorial service will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, 410 H St. NE, Auburn, WA, on June 14th at 11 a.m. Arrangements by Klontz Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Messiah Lutheran Scholarship Fund or Children’s Hospital, Seattle.
