Charlie passed away unexpectedly on April 14, 2018 at Harborview Medical Center. Born in Revere, MA on July 13, 1933, he is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Jan and their two sons, Jeff and Chris and their spouses Marilyn and Marion. Charlie graduated from Revere High in 1951 and spent 4 years serving his country in the Navy during the Korean War. After the war, he spent the majority of his career in banking. Beginning as a loan officer in 1963 and working his way up to Senior Vice President when he retired in June of 1995. During his career, he received degrees from the University of Virginia, Northwestern and the University of Colorado. He was also honored to serve as President of the Kiwanis club of North Attleboro, MA.
Charlie lived in Revere until 1963 when he moved to Foxboro, MA., home of his beloved Patriots. In 1979 he moved to Bourne, Ma. on Cape Cod, a special place in his heart. In 1997, he then moved to be near his grandsons in Westerville, OH. then moved to Auburn, WA. in 2006, to be with his granddaughters.
People were more important to Charlie than places and this is due to his personal relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ which began in 1998. This relationship gave his life new meaning, new hope and true peace. In retirement, he worked extensively with Welcome Wagon and in his wonderful neighborhood of Sorano promoting unity and goodwill.
Along with his wife and children he is survived by four loving grandchildren and their spouses: Andrew and his wife Gina, Peter and his wife Dianna, Hannah and Abigail and many other loving relatives, friends and neighbors.
