Dale Heffernan

Dale Heffernan, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2011. He was 72, a lifelong resident of Auburn. He is survived by his wife, Kathie, of 44 years. His children include Darrin Heffernan, Angelisa Silva and Dayla Walker. He also loved his five grandchildren, Shalen, Ali, Kelsie, Haley, and Sean. His four sisters and four brothers remained close to him throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Emmy Heffernan. Dale enjoyed holidays with his family, trips to Disneyland and the beach, his dogs and his garden. His witty sense of humor will be remembered. Dale played the guitar and sang Elvis and Johnny Cash songs, but he loved even more to watch his children and grandchildren sing and perform. He liked taking the kids fishing. He coached youth football and baseball. Dale was a member of the Painters Local 300. He served in the U.S. Air Force. A memorial service was held at the Lifegate Church of Auburn on Friday, the sixth of March.
