Dora (Doris) Hauge

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dora (Doris) Hauge on April 13, 2009. Doris was a Canadian citizen born December 17, 1926 in MacNutt, Saskatchewan.She moved to New Westminster, British Columbia when she was 19 and soon after married and settled in Kent, Washington. She raised three children in the family home located in Auburn while working at the Seattle Tacoma Airport. After retiring, she spent winters in Yuma, Arizona where she met many wonderful people who became good friends, sharing meals, laughter, and church and community work. She returned to Auburn and quickly reunited with neighborhood friends and family.Doris had the gift of hospitality and always offered a delicious meal. She loved to quilt, knit, and garden. She was eager to share her many gifts and teach others her talents.Doris is survived by her sister, Rose Onofriechuk, children; Ronnie Lucotch, David Hauge, and Deborah Michael (Bill) and her four grandchildren; Christina, Curtis, Garrett, and Catherine.A memorial gift can be made to FareStart in Seattle at www.far-estart.org. It was a dream of Doris’ that no one was ever forgotten, hungry or homeless.A rosary will be said on Friday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m. and a memorial mass at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9.
