Dorothy Marie Gessinger

Dorothy Marie Gessinger age 80, died peacefully at her home with her family by her side on February 11, 2009. Dorothy was born May 29th 1928 and lived a very active life with family and friends. She especially enjoyed family vacations, her sorority sisters, the Golden Campers, and her Twin Cedar’s family, but most of all volunteering to help where ever there was a need, including mentoring children, helping at the women’s shelter, and teaching classes at the senior center. Dorothy was married to the love of her life Gerald on March 9th, 1950 and they were married for 58 years. She loved and was loved by daughters and son-in laws, Kathy Woods; Sue and Robin Buck; Geri Muir; Bob Howitz; grandchildren, Casandra Cooper-Hull; Chris and Michelle Howitz; Markus Locati; Naome Fouts and Towner Buck; great-grandchildren, Tylor Cooper and Conner Hull; Isabella and Archer Fouts; and Bailey Locati. Her daughter Jeanette Howitz greeted her in heaven. A Celebration of Life for Dorothy will take place Sunday March 1st, 2009 at Twin Cedar’s Club House 37301 28th AVE S, Federal Way, WA 98003 beginning at 12:00 pm. You may make donations in her memory to the Breast Cancer Society.
