David H. Poole, 67, of Auburn, WA crossed through the veil into our Savior Jesus Christ’s loving embrace on Monday, October 15, 2018. He was surely welcomed into the heavenly kingdom by his parents Harvie and Ruth Poole to whom he was born on August 22, 1951 in Yakima.
Dave lived the majority of his early life in Selah, WA where he attended school and graduated in 1970 from Selah High School. He went on to Yakima Valley Community College to earn his Associates Degree.
On September 14, 1974 Dave and Diane Delorme were married and moved to the St. Louis area to attend Logan College of Chiropractic. There he received his Bachelor and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees. David previously owned chiropractic practices in Raymond and Snohomish. He was the owner of Poole Pain Relief & Wellness Clinic in the Auburn/Federal Way area at the time of his death. “Dr. Poole” was a wonderful, talented and kind chiropractor. He truly cared about his patients and was loved and appreciated by many.
Together Dave and Diane had two beautiful, loving children: Sean and Kirsten.
In October of 2010, Dave became re-acquainted with a long time friend, Peggy Underwood. Their love blossomed and grew into a very loving, devoted, laughter-filled relationship. On March 27, 2014, Dave and Peggy were married on the beach at sunset in Secret Cove, Maui, Hawaii with best friends, Vicki and Dave Mills in attendance. Dave welcomed into his life and dearly loved his stepchildren and grandchildren.
Dave loved to be with family and friends. Many fun times were spent camping, playing washer boards, pinochle and Farkel. Dave had a great sense of humor and had Peggy gasping for air in hysterical laughter at times. Sadly, many people didn’t get to see that side of him.
Dave became re-active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when Peggy joined in 2014. On May 2, 2015 Dave and Peggy were sealed in the Seattle Temple. Dave and Peggy are blessed with having wonderful loving and supportive friends in previous wards in Silverdale and Auburn as well as the Star Lake Ward.
Dave will be greatly missed by his wife, Peggy Poole; a son, Sean Poole (Brittney), and daughter, Kirsten Powers (John); bonus daughter, Lindsey Underwood Mattox (Avery); bonus sons, Brent Underwood (Heather) and Derek Underwood (Bridget). Their much loved grandchildren are: Aliyah and Jade Underwood, Ivy and Lily Underwood; Papa’s special little grandson Isaak, and his baby sister, Genevieve Underwood.
Surviving loved ones include siblings: Brenda Kelly (Rob), Marc Poole (Jackie), Keith Poole (Kim) and Jim Poole (Tammy); a very special aunt, Joan Rasmussen and many cherished nieces and nephews. Also feeling a huge loss are Peggy’s family: Mother-in-law, Jean Simard; sisters-in-law, Julie Allen (Bruce), Shari Qunell (Keith), Jan McDonald (Doug), Lori Voakes (Edward) and brother-in-law, Scott Simard (Chris).
The memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Star Lake Ward, 28616 48th Ave. S., Auburn, WA 98001 on Saturday, October 27th at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Dave’s name to the charity of your choice.
It is hard to imagine life without you, Dave, but know we will be together again for time and all eternity. My love always, Peg
