Ed Bosshart, age 89, passed away October 13, 2017, in Auburn. He was born in Highland, Illinois on November 17, 1927, and grew up in South Dakota with his parents Harry and Letha and six brothers and one sister before moving to Kent, WA in the 1940’s. Ed was a proud member of the Blackhawks Unit in the U.S. Army, and served in the Philippines near the end of WWII.
Upon Ed’s return to the U.S. with completion of his Army service, he met Jean Marie Crispi at a local dance, and they later married. They were wed for 58 years, until Jean’s passing in December of 2006. Ed worked for Pacific Car and Foundry at the Renton plant for 40 years before retiring.
Ed will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his son Dennis (Cynde), daughter Gayle, son Patrick; grandchildren Erica Sorensen (KC Thompson), Jason (Janae), Jonathan, Sherridan Quebrado (Sunday); and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Lila Wixom; brothers Allan (Marion), Neil (Joann), Dale, and Glenn; sister-in-law Rosemary Bosshart, brother-in-law Harold Crispi (Maxine); and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at Washington Memorial Cemetery in SeaTac on October 26 at 11:00 a.m. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
