Gerald George Gessinger
Gerald George Gessinger age 85, died peacefully at his home with his family by his side on December 12th, 2009. Gerald was born November 4th, 1924 and lived a very active life. Gerry was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends. After retirement Gerry and wife Dorothy spent many happy years together going on cruises, camping with the Golden Campers, visiting family and friends from out of town and making memories with their Twin Cedar’s family. Gerry especially enjoyed getting together with his old army buddies from the 558th F.A.B. and recently attended the 558th F.A.B. 66th reunion in Reno. Gerry was married to the love of his life Dorothy on March 9th, 1950 and they were married for 58 years. He loved and was loved by daughters and son-in laws, Kathy Woods; Sue and Robin Buck; Geri Muir; Bob Howitz; grandchildren, Casandra Cooper-Hull; Chris and Michelle Howitz; Markus Locati; Naome Fouts and Towner Buck; great-grandchildren, Tylor Cooper and Conner Hull; Isabella and Archer Fouts; Bailey, Destani, and Maddasin Locati. Gerry was greeted in heaven by his wife Dorothy and daughter Jeanette Howitz. A Celebration of Life for Gerry will take place Saturday January 9th, 2010 at Twin Cedar’s Club House 37301 28th AVE S, Federal Way, WA 98003 beginning at 1:30 pm. Gerry was captivated with old westerns and read them daily, we will be honoring his life with a western flair. You may make donations in his memory to your local VA Veterans Affairs.
