Beloved husband, father & friend, Glen Byron Warrick, 91, passed peacefully at home on October 22, 2012. Born May 16, 1921 in Kansas, he migrated to Washington with his parents and 9 siblings during the Great Depression; finding work with the CCC’s and the lumber mills. After serving in the Army Air Force during WWII, he settled in Auburn with wife Billie. He retired after (3) decades as a machinist at the Auburn Diesel Shop for the Burlington Northern Railroad.Survived by his loving wife Helen, son Edward (Verna), daughter Linda (Dennis) Mahyer, granddaughter Rebecca, sisters, Joy Draper (Seth), Betty Butts, Mabel Hicks of Springfield, MO and many nephews & nieces.Longtime volunteer with Boy Scouts, Auburn Senior Center, active member of the First United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by wife Billie, brothers Monroe, Calbert, Ernie, Jess, sisters Beatrice & Beulah. A celebration of life to be held November 3, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:00pm at First United Methodist Church in Auburn. Interment services by Pastor Cheryl Wuensch at Tahoma National Cemetery. Memorial to Auburn Food Bank or charity of choice.
