1928 – 2018
Harold was a lifelong resident of Auburn, Washington. He was well known and loved in his small community of Stuck, where he kept rabbits, geese, ducks, peafowl, chickens and a goat. The birds were an attraction that many came by to feed. Some who fed the birds years ago have brought their children to feed them.
Harold was the keeper of family history and never missed a birthday or anniversary and we will miss receiving his original cards.
He was a collector of jokes, good and bad, and relished telling them. He always wanted a reaction from the listener. He never missed an opportunity, for puns, innuendos and just pulling your leg. A nurse asked for his name and how to spell it. In typical Harold fashion he spelled it: H A I R – R O L L E D. We are going to miss his quirky humor.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Hildegarde and John Gustaf Olson and his siblings, Iver Edward Olson, James Gerald Olson and Helen Kathryn Anderson. He is survived by eight nephews and three nieces, their spouses, children and grandchildren.
His service was held Tuesday, February 27th at 2:30 PM, at Mountain View Cemetery in Auburn, Washington. Arrangements by Price-Helton Funeral Home (253)833-1165.
