Katherine (Kathi) Anne Fraser

April 14, 1928 – February 4, 2009Kathi Anne Fraser, 80, of Anacortes, Washington passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Fidalgo Care Center in Anacortes.She was born in Seattle,Washington to Jannie Katherine (Kate) and William R. Thorne on April 14, 1928. At an early age the family moved to Auburn, WA where she attended grade school, junior high, and high school. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1946 and attended Washinton State College. In 1949 she met Donn M. Fraser and in 1950 they married. The couple settled in Seattle,Bellevue, and Kirkland. After Donn’s retirement in 1986, they moved to Seal Rock, OR and built a beautiful house on the ocean. They moved to the south end of Fidalgo Island in 1995 and to Anacortes in 2000.Kathi was active in the hospital guild and gardening. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Donn Fraser; their two children, son, Jeffery T. Fraser and daughter and son-in-law, Amy S. and Rick Eyton; three grandchildren, Angela, Donn, and Ericka; and two great-grandchildren, Allysa and Sandra.A memorial sevice of Kathi’s life and God’s love was held February 11, 2009 at Evans Funeral Chapel in Anacortes. A private family committal service was held at Fernhill Cemetery in Anacortes. Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., Anacortes, WA and the San Juan Islands.
