Kurt Ness Vogel

March 21, 1950 – June 17, 2016

After a horrifyingly short and fierce battle with cancer, Kurt left us on June 17, 2016. Kurt would read the obituaries every day. He’d say it was a good day if his name wasn’t there. Today isn’t a particularly good day!

Kurt will be especially missed by his wife Kathy, his brothers and their wives Bart and Barbara, Ken and Sally, Greg and Diane, and Rod and Margi, and his nieces and nephew.

He was proud of his career as a professional firefighter for many years in Auburn. But more than the job, he valued the friends he made there.

Kurt enjoyed just relaxing with his good friends, but also loved to travel and did so extensively. His favorites being Eastern Europe and Ajijic, Mexico cruises.

In memory of Kurt, instead of flowers or charitable donations, please turn to those dearest to you and buy them a beer.

A memorial service will be August 20 at 1-5pm, at Holy Family Catholic Church parish hall, 505 17th St. SE Auburn,WA 98002.
