Laurtina Ziegele Caldwell was born in Walla Walla, WA. She graduated in 1988 from Evergreen High School in Burien, WA and in 1990 from South Seattle Community College Culinary School, Seattle, WA with Certification in Pastry and Specialty Baking.
Lori worked for the Auburn School District for 12 years. She taught baking at Riverside High School. As a Pastry Chef Lori had a home based business called Lori’s Creative Cakes. She also loved flower arranging, camping and volunteering with fundraising at her church Puyallup S.D.A and children’s schools, but most of all creating fantastic pastries.
Lori is survived by her husband Francisco Diaz, Auburn, WA; children Nadia and Brandon Diaz, Auburn, WA; mother and step-father Tricia and Roger Caldwell, Auburn, WA; father and step-mother, Richard and Judy Ziegele, Walla Walla, WA; two brothers Bruce Ziegele of Tacoma, WA, Robin Caldwell of Auburn, WA; two adopted siblings Kenny Ziegele of College Place, WA and Maile Dull-Budden of Walla Walla, WA; two step siblings Jeralyn Heil of Bellingham, WA and Jeremy Wren of Sacramento, CA; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 1st at Auburn Adventist Academy, 5000 Auburn Way So, Auburn WA 98092.
