Lena Touchette

Lena Touchette, 84, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 28, 2009 quietly as she rested. A serious stroke in August 1998 damaged her body, but not her spirit. She always had a smile and a kind word for anyone who visited. She was always pleasant, loving and had a joyful nature.Lena was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada on August 10, 1924 to Theodore and Katie Zemorniak. She grew up in Canada and moved to Washington State where she married Glenn Deal and had four children; Richard Glenn Deal (who died at birth), Richard David Deal, Maureen Lea Deal, and Judith Lynn Deal.Lena devoted herself to raising her children and later became a dedicated employee working for the Auburn School District and The Boeing Company. One of her proudest moments was in 1958 when she became a United States citizen.She was preceded in death by husbands Glenn Deal and Jack Touchette, her sister Ann, and parents. She leaves behind a loving family including her children, daughter-in-law Debby, granddaughter Allison and three nieces Sonja, Lois, and Ann Marie.Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
