Loreen (Hanson) Olds

Loreen (Hanson) Olds, 76, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2010, from Cancer. She was born on October 8, 1933 in Stanley, North Dakota to Adrian and Christine Hanson. She was the youngest of three sisters. She was preceded in death by both sisters, Eloise, October 13, 2009 and Donna, January 30, 2010. The family moved to Glasgow, MT in 1934, where they operated the Hanson Dairy. She graduated from Glasgow High School and attended college in Montana. She moved to Spokane, WA and married David Olds in 1960 and lived in San Francisco, CA. Their daughter, Carol was born in 1962. They moved to Eugene, OR where Loreen worked at the U.S. Forest Service. Loreen and her daughter Carol, moved to Washington State and Loreen worked at the FAA, then retired in 1993. Loreen enjoyed golfing, playing bridge with her friends and being with her grandchildren. She supported many animal charities, NWF and the Human Society are among the few. Loreen is survived by her daughter, Carol Calvert of Bellevue, WA, son-in-law Marty Calvert, and three grandchildren, Spencer (14), Callahan (7) and Christina Calvert (7). A Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 25th at 2:00 pm, at Messiah Lutheran Church, Auburn.
