Louis Buckley

Rev. Louis R. Buckley, former Auburn resident, passed away on February 7, 2014 in Portland, OR, at the age of 100. He and his wife moved from Salem, OR, in 1986 after serving as the hospital chaplain there. His wife, Betty, passed away in August of 2000 and Louis moved to a retirement center two years later. While living here, he was active in Kiwanis and Bible Baptist (Grace Community) Church.

He is survived by son, David, in Puyallup; daughter, Sharon Gilbert (Dennis) in Auburn; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

If desired, contributions in his honor may be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship or The Billy Graham Association. A Memorial Service will be held in Portland 2:00pm on April 5th at the Gateway (Baptist) Church.
