December 29, 1931 – July 18, 2023

Margaret Jane Durham, 91, of Auburn, Washington, passed away peacefully on July 18.

“Jane” was born on December 29, 1931 in Longview, Washington to James and Viola Duggleby. She moved to Everett, Washington as a young girl. She graduated from Everett High School in 1949. After high school Jane began nurses training at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, Washington.

While in Spokane she met Burt Durham, whom she married in August 1951. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years who passed May 2014.

Jane loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved to swim at the YMCA when living in Bellevue, Washington and in Puget Sound when visiting the Durham cabin on Camano Island. She was also a voracious reader. Jane and her husband, Burt, enjoyed their RV and traveled throughout Washington, Oregon, California, and Arizona making many friends. Jane especially enjoyed participating in fundraising for “Dogs for the Deaf”.

She is survived by two children Gary and Linda, two grandchildren Connor and Lindsey and two great- grandchildren.

Jane will be laid to rest with her husband, Burt, at Tahoma National Cemetery.
