On February 3, 2019 Marilyn Creighton, age 84, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.

Marilyn was born in Perry, Iowa on August 16, 1934 to Mabel and Leeland Dusing.

Marilyn was active in the community, participating in KCSARC fundraisers, volunteering for the Auburn Symphony Orchestra Gala, and was a past treasurer of Friends of the Auburn Library. Marilyn’s past passion for bowling earned her a place on the Bridgeport, West Virginia bowling alley wall with a 192 average and bowling a 267 game.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years James Alonzo Creighton, her son David (Christy) Creighton, daughter Pamela Johnson, and 7 grandchildren, Eli, Amy, Cody, Alexa, Isabelle, Zachary, and Zander. And her nieces and nephews. She was a treasured friend to many. She is pre-deceased by their oldest son M. Lee Creighton and her older sister Sylvia Mae Church.

Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Auburn, WA on Friday, February 8 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to supportmulticare.org.
