Nancy Kathleen Jarvey

Nancy Jarvey passed away peacefully November 8, 2014 surrounded by family.

Nancy was born March 17, 1936 in Coeur d’ Alene, ID to Kenneth and Marion Best. She graduated from Coeur d’ Alene HS in 1955 and that September married the love of her life, Donald Jarvey.

Together they raised 3 children; Linda (Gene) McMahon, David (Sherri) Jarvey and Scott (June) Jarvey and have enjoyed grandchildren; Jeffery (Evelina) and Lindsay McMahon, Natalie and Erik Jarvey, Melissa Stephens and Cassandra (Roland) Gilmore, Serena, Crystal and Steven Small and 4 great-grandchildren; Jakob McMahon, John and Loralai Stephens and Lincoln Gilmore.

Residing in the Auburn area most of their married life, they spent a few years in New Orleans, while working for Boeing, enjoying southern food and culture. Nancy and Don loved to travel and after retirement took trips to Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii, and cruised the Caribbean and Mediterranean. As snowbirds they spent many winters in Florence, AZ and summers at their lake home in Shelton, WA where they liked watching birds and deer.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents. Besides her husband of 59 years and her children Nancy is survived by her brother Richard (Joy) Best, 3 nieces and 1 nephew and their families.

Services will be held Sunday, November 23, 3 pm at Wesley Homes, Auburn, with gathering beginning at 2:30.

Memorial donations can be made in Nancy’s name to Wesley Homes Foundation-Lea Hill Capital Fund.
