Penny (Emerson) Jones, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in Sumner, Washington, on August 20th, 2024. Born on May 19, 1944, in Auburn, Washington, Penny was a vibrant presence in the lives of all who knew her.
Penny dedicated her life to her family, taking immense joy in attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. She was an enthusiastic fan of the Seattle Seahawks, found joy in gardening, and cherished the holiday season, especially Christmas. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she spent her life nurturing and supporting them with unwavering love.
She is survived by her six children: Debbie Hobbs, Becky Pike, Jeff Green, Doug Jones, Steve Jones, and Kim Randolph. Penny was also a proud grandmother to 18 grandchildren and a loving great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren. Her legacy of warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all of them.
Penny was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Ben Emerson, and her siblings: Patti Emerson, Bob Emerson, and Ricky Emerson. Her caring, loving, and giving nature made her a cherished and irreplaceable part of her family and community.
Penny Jones will be remembered for her boundless love and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
