Robert was born in California in 1940. After high school, he served in the United States Navy as an aircraft mechanic. He was honorably discharged in 1967.

After his military service, Robert traveled the world as an aircraft mechanic. He met his wife, Lucy, in Iran in 1978. In 1979 they welcomed a son, Armen. Robert’s wife Lucy preceded him in death in 1992.

Robert worked for Boeing for almost twenty years. Upon his retirement he enjoyed reading books about the natural world and spending time outdoors, cultivating his garden.

Robert Allen passed away quietly at his home. He is survived by his son, Armen Allen, his granddaughters Lucy and Katherine Allen, and his nephews Ken and Lenny Allen.
