Robert Joseph Sullivan

Robert Joseph Sullivan was born February 22, 1938 and passed away November 21, 2010. Bob passed away after a two month courageous battle with lung cancer surrounded by his loved ones. Bob was born to Mary and Daniel Sullivan in their home in Seattle. He went to school in the Rainier Valley. Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1962 and spent most of his service time in Germany. He spent the rest of his career as a truck driver for Teamsters Local 174. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Daniel H. Sullivan and Mary M. Sullivan, sisters; Rita Boswell, Margaret Santone, Eileen Sullivan and his grandson; Christopher Boyd. Bob is survived by his loving wife Ida, daughters Anne and Kerrie Blair, Cheryl Williams, Darlene and Mike Clark, Mary Hammond, JoAnn and Bob Owen, Kathy and Ron Warren, and sons; Josh Buffer and John Buffer as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and his brothers and sisters; Gladys Lucci, Fran and Hilda Sullivan, Danny and Jenny Sullivan, Clarence and Pat Sullivan, Mary Johnson, Andy and Delores Sullivan, John and Cynthia Sullivan and Jean Dobbs and many nieces and nephews. Bob lived out his life enjoying his family, hunting, fishing, and family campouts. He was a generous host and was the first one to come to the aide of his family and friends. Bob had a desire to help his family live life to the fullest by sharing wisdom from his experiences. We are going to miss him greatly.Funeral Mass was held at Holy Family Catholic Church with committal to follow at Tahoma National Cemetery.
