Ronald Lynn Cude
Longtime Auburn resident, Ronald Lynn Cude, age 77, died March 6, 2010 in Seattle, WA with his family by his side following a courageous battle with cancer. Ron was born October 20, 1932, in Salt Lake City, UT. Ron served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Following his military service, he served as a police officer in Long Beach, CA until permanently relocating to Auburn in 1968 where he served as Detective/Lieutenant on the Auburn Police force for twenty years before retiring in 1988. Ron’s interests and hobbies included spending time with family, cooking, refurbishing old houses, oil painting, coin collecting and panning for gold. A service will be held this Friday, March 12th at 10:30 am at the Mt. Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA. Ron is survived by his four daughters, Michelle Sorrell Cude of Concepcion, Chile, Sandra (Cude) Lester of Auburn, WA, Brooke (Cude) Meyenberg of Maple Valley, WA, Laura (Cude) Hernandez of Auburn, WA and five grandchildren, Oscar Douglas Jr., Michael Douglas, Christopher Douglas, Connor Lester and Megan Lester.
