Shirley E. Nelson

Our mom, Shirley E. Nelson, died October 7, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital with family at her side. She was the ninth of 12 children born to Nathaniel and Rachel Chadwick Roberts, on February 25, 1923. She was preceded in death by all her brothers and sisters, as well as her husband, Donald J. Nelson. She is survived by seven sons and daughters: Donna Jean Wiebenga, Steven Harley Nelson, Ronald Lewis Nelson, Shirley Ann Weable, Darcy Way Nelson, Donald Jessie Nelson, Jr., and Charles Albert Nelson. She has 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
