October 22, 1920 – March 15, 2019

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother. She passed in peace on Friday March 15, 2019, at age 98, with family members by her side.

Preceded in death by her husband Gyle in 1986, she is survived by her daughter DeeDee Mangialardi and husband Nick of Auburn, Gail Winde and husband Tom of Auburn, son Dennis Marsh and partner Dean of Palm Springs, as well as 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Born in York, Nebraska to Charles and Eunice Rogers. She grew up in this small town where she met and married her husband Gyle. She worked with the USO while her husband was overseas for 4 years during WWII. In 1951 they moved the family to Washington state.

Shirley was active in many Auburn activities. She was a volunteer at Auburn General Hospital for 25 years and worked for many years on the Miss Auburn Scholarship Pageant.

She would tell you that the most important thing in her life was always her family. She will be missed each and every day by those of us left behind.
