Stanley “Tag” Giffin

Stanley “Tag” Giffin – 86, passed away January 4, 2009 in Tacoma.

Tag was born November 20, 1922 in

Bellingham.

He later moved with his family to Auburn where he was raised

and attended school. He served in the US Navy for 4 yrs in the

Pacific Theater during WWII. Tag returned to the Auburn/Kent

Valley where he was employed in the automotive machine trade

for 30 yrs. He then moved to Snohomish County where he owned

operated 2 small grocery stores. After his retirement he lived in the

Port Susan community until last year when he moved to Pacific.

Tag is survived by his children, Laurie (Bruce) Martin, Mesa, AZ;

Lee (Becky) Giffin, Tacoma; and Lynne Giffin, Bellevue. He is also

survived by 2 grandchildren Travis Martin and Courtney Martin.

At his request there will be no service. If friends desire, memorials

may be made to MultiCare Good Sam Hospice, Box 5200 Tacoma,

WA 98402.
